Dadasaheb Phalke         
Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, vulgarmente conhecido como Dadasaheb Phalke (marata: दादासाहेब फाळके) (Nashik, 30 de abril de 1870 — Nashik, 16 de fevereiro de 1944) é conhecido como o pai do cinema indiano. Foi instituído o prémio Dadasaheb Phalke em sua homenagem.
Dadasaheb Torne         
Ramchandra Gopal também conhecido como Dadasaheb Torne (13 de Abril de 1890 - 19 de Janeiro de 1960) foi o primeiro indiano a fazer uma longa metragem. Ele fez o seu primeiro filme um ano antes de Dadasaheb Phalke.
